How do I figure out what size storage unit I will need?
You will first need to consider whether you intend to stack your items or not and how many items you will be doing so with.
If the items are from your household, try to imagine if they would all fit in a standard size bedroom, closet, 1 car garage or 2 car garage. You could convey that to our friendly staff members and they would be able to help you assess your needs.
If you are storing a boat, lawn mower, RV, business equipment or similar items, you can measure the width and length and that will give you an idea of the size you are needing. Keep in mind of future seasonal use as well to make sure to provide for that space.
How will I know when I can get to my stuff in storage?
That’s what is so great about A Storage Place, as a customer you will have 24 hour a day and 7 days a week access.
I have never stored before, will my things be safe?
This storage facility has never had any problems of theft. There are multiple High Tech Surveillance Cameras monitoring all access points and buildings. Several Law Enforcement Officers store at A Storage Place as well. There is perimeter fencing and it is a restricted area to the general public.
Will I be able to get my boat in and out of a storage unit?
Yes, most definitely. The drives are extra wide for easy turnaround and backing up, providing for great maneuverability.
Are there units with doors tall enough to store my RV?
The doors height is 12′ tall to accommodate most RV’s with an air conditioner unit on top of the roof.
Should I use boxes to store things in?
You can use cardboard boxes that you can purchase at Lowe’s or Home Depot. I would suggest labeling them with a marker of what is in them & the room it will belong in as well as taping the top and bottom securely with wide packing tape. Using plastic tubs with lids is a good idea as well.
What should I do if I discover my new unit isn't big enough?
Call A Storage Place to speak with one of our friendly staff members and you will be assisted in securing a larger unit or a second one. We will be glad to assist you in every way that we can.
If I accidentally loose the key to my lock, what should I do?
There are locksmiths services that you can hire, however they are expensive. You can call the office and arrange to have it removed and a new lock put on.
What if its raining when I need to put things in storage?
Wear a rain coat, rubber boots and use an umbrella! Or reschedule for a better day.
